Report on BATM Project – Khan Academy Tamil Multimedia Kit Installation in Chennai Middle School, M.G.R. Nagar
We were glad to inform that our 4th Khan Academy Tamil Multimedia Kit installation was also a grand success. The School was in M.G.R Nagar, Chennai. After great obstacles we successfully finished the installation. Deepak, a staff member of Vetrivel Foundation took the installation process forward, with the help of Mrs. Vani, Volunteer Member from India Team who supported the school for the installation.
We had an opportunity to meet Teacher Volunteer from Tech India, who took moral responsibility and took forward the installation. They support the school with various co curricular activities.
It started up with the Handing over ceremony, where Deepak and Vani handed over the Multimedia Kit to the Headmistress and to the Tech India Teachers. The Headmistress also handed over the thanksgiving letter to us. With Immense pleasure we also received a token of appreciation, a heartful of thanks from the children of that school.
We then proceeded with the Installation process, starting up with the Samsung Executive to mount the Samsung 40 Inch LED Tv in the wall. We also installed a hanging tray nearby the Tv for placing the Seagate 500GB External Hard Drive containing 500 plus videos in a safer place, which will be connected to the Tv for the data transferring.
We also had the Inverter Engineer at the right time Installing the Inverter with the 150 Ah Tubular Batteries at the right place. On finishing the installation we ran over a test video checking the correctness of the connection Establishment. We educated the process of playing the videos. Tech India teachers took moral responsibilities in playing the videos.
After which we invited the students to the multimedia classroom, we played some Math videos and students listened to class with greater involvement. We thanked Mrs. Vani and Teja and friends from Tech India in supporting us in the Khan Academy Tamil Multimedia Installation process. With great satisfaction we left the school.
