BATM Project – Khan Academy Tamil Multimedia Kit Installation in Paventhar Tamil School, Kundrathur

    After Khan Academy Tamil Multimedia Classroom installation process in Mayiladuthurai, we planned to execute the same in Kundrathur, Chennai. Deepak, a staff member of Vetrivel Foundation proceeded for the installation process.

After our experience from the first installation, arrangements were made in prior for the setup. Request was placed a day before to the Samsung Customer Care for the TV installation process in Kundrathur. Inverter was ordered from the nearby store.

As per planned a cab was arranged for the Samsung 40 inch TV to reach the destination. A 500 GB Seagate Hard drive was carried in hand with around 560 Khan Academy Tamil Translated Videos in it and a small hanging shelf to place the Hard drive in position. We also took a 5*5 Banner, informing the Sponsors and Executors of this project.

On fixing an appointment with the Headmaster of the School Mr.Vetriseliyan. We reached the school, with the inverter installation person and the Samsung Executive. Mr.Vetriseliyan, Headmaster of Paventhar Tamil School invited us, with their family. We first planned to install it in the Kindergarten Section called Mazalaiyar Vaguppu. It was fully painted to give a feel of a pleasant jungle. But due to lack of space and not to disturb the Theme, we moved on the Computer Lab which was situated in the above floor. We made some alterations and mounted the Samsung LED 40 inch TV in a wall which will be visible to everyone in the room. Followed by the inverter installation process and a detailed information regarding the maintenance of the inverter, to check up the Distilled water containing in the battery for long life.

The Banner was erected in the adjacent to the TV mounted wall. The Seagate 500GB Hard drive connection to the Samsung 40 inch LED Tv was established and the videos were played and checked for the correctness of the data contained in it. The Samsung Executive instructed us for the process of playing the videos.

The Headmaster then tried the process of playing the videos on his own. After the Installation was completed we handed over the warranty slips and Documentary informations to the Headmaster and a final snap handing over the Khan Academy Tamil Multimedia kit was taken. We then met Mr.Porkovan, who is interacting with us from the School side in Installation process. After which Mr.Vetriseliyan, Headmaster of Paventhar Middle School offered, handed his own authored book and the school’s pamphlet to Deepak, Vetrivel Foundation as a token of respect.

After which we promised him for the series of visit for updating the new videos and with great satisfaction we left the school.
